The terrible tale of potential iPhone hijacking that we’ve been covering is coming to an end thanks to an update released by Apple. This latest update will protect you from SMS hijacking attacks.

Apple released the iPhone OS 3.0.1 update over iTunes so you can start downloading it now. Apple also confirmed that no one has yet been a victim of this kind of attack. It may not ever happen, but that’s no reason not to update, so go get the patch.
