Features:  

Trend Micro incorporates black and white list tools so you can proactively protect your mobile device. Don’t trust a source? Put them on the black list and you won’t have to worry about getting potentially dangerous messages from them.

Trend Micro covers your phone and removable media. Internal memory and SD cards are protected while you’re using Trend Micro Mobile Security. Additionally, Trend Micro monitors inbound and outbound network traffic, so you don’t have to worry about accidentally passing a virus on to a friend or coworker.

Ease of Use:  

Trend Micro isn’t as straightforward as some of our higher ranked mobile security software solutions, but is still relatively easy to use. In fact, minimal user intervention is required because Mobile Security runs in real-time. You won’t have the ability to schedule specific scans, but you can perform on-demand scans to check files when you want, or monitor files already on your mobile device prior to installation.

Installation & Updates:  

Installing Trend Micro Mobile Security is easy and straightforward. Updates occur whenever the phone can make a connection to the network, whether that be wirelessly or via a synced computer. Installation must be completed using a PC application, so you can’t get the program on your phone directly from the internet.

Technical Help/Support:  

Trend Micro offers help in almost every format possible, but it could be more effective. Users can contact live help over the phone or through email. And while Trend Micro does offer online chat, we struggled to connect and were unable to actually have any of our questions answered. Trend Micro Mobile Security is a decent option for securing your smartphone, but we’ve reviewed others that are better. The software does include antivirus, antispyware, firewall, and antispam tools, but could be easier to use.
